How the Tube got her name.

I feel like this is a vital story to know, seeing as my blog is named "Life Is A Tube" and it makes no sense if you don't even know who the Tube is.

Callie has always had a variety of names, because that's just how I am. It varied from Callie, Caltard, Retard (no offense to anyone, see my autism post), Callorita, Calloronie, Longdog Calvers, etc.  She's not exactly the most responsive dog in the world, and I doubt the variety of names helped, but there you have it.

So the boyfriend and I were playing with her one day, and noticed how very cylindrical she is.

Notice the tubular length of her body, complete with 4 tiny spindly tubes for legs.

As a joke, the boyfriend started calling her an "organ-filled meat tube." From then on, she was known as the Tube. It started out as a joke about how oddly tubular she is in shape, but it quickly became a commentary on her personality and mental defects.

Anything she was doing was soon incorporated into the Tube system. If she was sleeping, she was a SleepTube, if she was laying on the couch, she was a CouchTube, and so on. I happen to own a dog-sized horse blanket for her, and when it was really cold one day I put it on her. The boyfriend told me that the CoatTube was wearing her TubeCoat, and from then on the name stuck. We've been calling the Tube that for over a year now, and I doubt we'll ever stop.
